The Truth about Sisterhood
Is you love them and you love to hate them, but the funny thing is YOU are the only person that is allowed to hate them. The minute someone else says something negative about your sister, it becomes completely wrong and your defense mode comes into play. Haven’t we all felt that at some point?
I know for my sister and I, we have an un-breakable bond, a partnership, a trust, and a love that no one could ever break. We smile together, we laugh together, we cry together, and sometimes we even fight together. I would never change it or regret it, but the truth is we should never hate anyone. Hate is a strong and powerful word, and an even deeper emotion. No matter how much anger or pain can live in our hearts, we should never talk down or rude to anyone, not even our own family. Sometimes it’s easy to forget our own family has feelings too, because maybe we are so used to the ups and downs that even with the people closest to us, we’ve become immune to it. We need to take a step back and look into our hearts and ask ourselves “Am I showing love to those around me? Am I lifting my friends and family up? Am I lifting myself up? The only way we can lift others up and encourage others is by lifting ourself up first and encouraging ourself to wake up each day with purpose and motivation. Purpose to make a difference and the motivation to take the first step to do it.
